

During the Winter season, this pool is made available for recreational use by children on a limited basis. It is available for adult and / or adult child therapy usage as well. This pool is used for therapy, arthritis classes, and swim lessons. Like the main indoor pool, the therapy pool has a precast stone gutter system. This pool has a hi-rate sand filtration system and is disinfected using liquid sodium hypochlorite and an ozonator. This pool has stairs leading into it along one half of the north side. This pool is heated to 90 degrees Fahrenheit and slopes in depth from three to four feet. This pool is shotcrete layered with white plaster and navy blue tile markings. The Indoor Therapy Pool was constructed in 1994. With a flow rate of 800 gallons per minute, this pool turns over every seven hours. The pool measures 45 x 164 feet and has a average depth of 6 feet. Heated at 80 degrees Fahrenheit, the indoor pool is used primarily for lap swimming, training, deep water physical therapy and advanced swim lessons. All of the returns are side wall or floor returns. Four of the six main drains are direct plumbed and the remaining two are plumbed to a surge tank as is the gutter. This pool has a hi-rate sand filtration system and is disinfected using liquid sodium hypochlorite. It can be constructed to allow for two 25 yard courses, or one 25 yard and one 25 meter course. This pool also has a steel and fiberglass bulkhead which is normally across four of the six lanes.

A water line, flip turn targets and bottom lane markings are in navy blue tile. This pool has a shotcrete shell layered with white plaster.

The Main Indoor Pool (6 lane 50 Meter) was constructed in 1994. With a flow rate of 150 gallons per minute, this pool turns over every three and one half hours. Zero walkin sloping to 30 inches maximum depth. Constructed of shotcrete covered with light blue plaster, this pool has a diotomaceous earth filter and is disinfected with sodium hypochlorite. The Children’s Outdor Recreational Pool (2800 square feet) was constructed in 1997. Benches continue around the perimeter of this end of the pool with stairs leading up and out the entire western edge of the pool. Deeper into this pool are benches along the western edge of the shallow end, an island with a whale and then the “deep end” 30 inches in depth with four air bubblers for kids’ enjoyment. A raindrop fountain and shallow water jets add excitement for kids of all ages. Children love the zero depth walk-in at the base of the shallow end complete with gentle water jets. The pavilion, reconstructed with pressure treated lumber and dark green metal roof offers a great view of the pool and a popular place to eat and have a party. Elegant and beautiful landscaping surrounds this pool with terra cotta edging. Separated from the main pool by a fence and having a fully shaded lawn and new pavilion offering shade and privacy, the pool is almost a club within a club. Located on the north lawn, this pool has a number of features which make it a popular choice for children and parents. It measures 2,400 square feet (about 70×35 feet) and has a maximum depth of 2-1/2 feet. The outdoor children’s recreational pool was constructed in 1997.
